Footpath from Villa Hüssy to the Old Villa before 1968

At that time in the

Villa garden

Rooms have been rented out to holidaymakers in the villa during the summer months since 1928. At that time, comfort was still very modest: There was no running water in the rooms and only one shared toilet in the corridor. Nevertheless, even then our guests appreciated the special location directly on the lake and the relaxed atmosphere of the house.

At the end of the 1960s, an extension was added to the old villa. The new rooms offered more space and comfort. Our family has lived in the house all year round since 1971.

When three generations were finally living under one roof, the tourist lettings were deliberately downsized. Instead of many rooms, there are now two small holiday flats. This preserves the character of the house and gives our guests plenty of space, especially in the large garden right by the lake.

With this development, the issue of sustainability has also become increasingly important.

The heating and hot water system was converted from electricity to pellets and supplemented by a photovoltaic system in 2022. A quiet and emission-free lawn robot has been taking care of the garden since 2008.
Environmental protection is very important to us. That's why we encourage our guests to leave their cars at home and use our free bicycles to run small errands in the village. The house has also been smoke-free for several years.
Today, we are the fourth generation to run the rental business. What hasn't changed since 1928 is the joy of sharing this special place with other people.
