Villa Seegarten

Villa Seegarten has been a summer holiday resort on Lake Millstatt since 1928. In the beginning, the focus was less on comfort and more on relaxing in nature: there was no running water in the rooms and the communal toilet was in the corridor. Even back then, our guests appreciated the special location directly on the lake and the relaxed atmosphere of the house.

In 1968, an extension was added to the old villa to provide more space and comfort. Our family has lived in the house all year round since 1971.

When we finally had four generations living under one roof, we deliberately downsized the tourist lettings. Instead of six rooms, there are now two small holiday flats. This gives our guests plenty of space to relax in the large garden - in the spirit of gentle tourism.

With this development, the issue of sustainability has also become increasingly important.

In 2021, the heating and hot water system was converted from electricity to pellets and a photovoltaic system was added in 2022. A quiet and emission-free lawn robot has been taking care of the garden since 2008.
Environmental protection is very important to us. That's why we invite our guests to leave their cars at home and do small errands in the village - just like us - with the bicycles that we provide free of charge. In addition, our entire property - inside and out - has been smoke-free for several years.

 

We are now the fourth generation of the family to run the rental business. What hasn't changed since 1928 is the joy of sharing this special place with other people and enabling them to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
